Rehab Clinics Group are able to offer professional referrals to employers who are concerned about a member of staff’s health and feel they need to seek the aid of addiction recovery experts.
If you are dealing with a member of staff who is addicted to harmful substances such as drugs or alcohol then we have a team of highly experienced addiction recovery workers who can work on strengthening and healing the mind in order to beat the addictive behaviours that they have become accustomed to.
The effects addiction has on employers
As an employer you have a duty of care to your members of staff, this includes having the right health and safety measures put in place with the correct welfare implemented. This rule also applies to employees that are showing signs of dealing with an addiction and need help.
Employees who are suffering from addiction can often cause problems in the workplace with just some of the more common effects being:
- Reduced productivity
- Poor Attendance
- Forced dismissal leading to new recruitment
- Breaches in health and safety
- Accidents
- Breakdown in relationships
- Negative effect on the business’s reputation
These are just some of the most common problems that occur when having a member of staff who is struggling with addiction.
For most employers, the answer would be to just cut their losses and sack the individual in question. This is not always the best solutions as if you seek the help of rehabilitation clinics like the ones on offer at RCG, you will be giving your employer a second chance by helping them to get better and once they have committed to a life without addiction they will owe it to the company for helping them through those tough times.
This is a fantastic way of gaining the loyalty of your staff as it shows that as a company, you’re compassionate and caring to individuals’ circumstances which leads to better staff retention, meaning no more recruitment fees!
How we can help
Rehab Clinics Group are able to effectively deal with HR departments by giving them the advice and training needed in order to deal with any member of staff suffering from addiction in the correct manner.
When you get in touch with our team we will look to get as much information about the individual as possible in order to get an idea of the level of treatment that will be needed. Once we have determined the level of treatment, we will then provide you with information on the recommended treatment programme along with a quote for your consideration.
As the treatment we offer at our clinics is strictly in-client treatment, we do require the individual to stay at our centre throughout the duration of their rehabilitation.
You will still be able to get in touch with your employee outside of any therapy sessions or detoxication withdrawal phases. We do recommend that no work is given to them during their stay as this could jeopardise the recovery process as full attention is needed to help heal the mind from its addictive behaviours.
