We have treatment centres for drug and alcohol rehab in Bury St Edmunds
Due to growing drug and alcohol abuse in today’s society, the NHS are finding themselves overwhelmed and unable to provide drug and alcohol services to every person that needs them. Whether it is getting help for alcohol or drug abuse that has just escalated to addiction, or you find you have been caught in a destructive cycle for many years, we are here to help you. Since opening our first rehabilitation centre in 2011 we have helped and empowered our clients to turn their lives around and achieve long-term recovery.
Reaching out and admitting there’s a problem is a major victory and the first step towards a better life.

The Admission Process
Taking the step from the realisation of an addiction problem to undergoing treatment is a difficult one that demands courage. We at Rehab Clinics Group understand this and try to make the admission process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
There are five steps to it and through each step from the initial enquiry to your first day at a centre, our Admissions Team will be there to offer help and guidance. The team are available 24/7 and can offer free and confidential advice about your own or someone else’s addiction and the array of treatment options and packages we offer.
Entering treatment can be a time-sensitive situation as minds change and hearts waver so it is important to act sooner rather than later. If the process is completed quickly and the deposit received an admission date can be decided on before you know it.
Treatment Options Available at our Centres
Effective drug and alcohol treatment should deal with both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction. Rehab Clinics Group are a firm believer in this, that why the treatment packages we offer are intensive, comprehensive, and seen as industry-leading in the UK.
The first step is to deal with the physical side – and that means drug or alcohol detox.
On the first day of your admission, a Group Doctor will lay out your personalised detox regime – offering you particular detox medications that will ease the worst of the drug or alcohol withdrawal symptoms you will encounter. Despite the medication, this will still be an unpleasant time for you. You will be kept under constant care by our dedicated staff and any adjustments to the regime will be made if needed.
It’s a necessary step to give you or a loved one the best chance at achieving long-term recovery.
The time detoxing can vary depending on many things but once it is done the bulk of time spent with us is spent in therapy. Getting to the psychological root of your addiction is the best way to disrupt the destructive cycle and give you the coping skills needed to have the best chance at not relapsing.
Our therapy options are extensive, touching both psychological and holistic approaches. The talk therapy we offer ranges from stress management, CBT and DBT to group therapy and motivational interviewing. Holistic and well-being-based therapies such as acupuncture, yoga and music therapy are available – aimed at creating a calm and reassuring atmosphere for our clients.
Our client’s mental health is of utmost importance to us here and so we make sure it is not neglected by employing dual-diagnosis treatment. This form of treatment factors in current mental health issues and dealing with them alongside the addiction problems.
What Happens After Rehab?
The months just after drug and alcohol rehab can be some of the toughest that you or a loved one may face. Exiting the comfort and reassuring environment of our facility, and back into a world full of potential triggers and habits that led you to addiction can be daunting.
We at Rehab Clinics Group understand and offer a free 12-month aftercare package focused on relapse prevention. This personalised programme gives you or a loved one the chance to stay in touch with people they met during their time in treatment and start to build a support network that can help them through the good and bad times. There is also family drug support – our team can advise family members and loved ones on what to do if relapse does occur.

How to achieve long-term sobriety?
There is no definitive way to stay substance-free – it’s a long, hard road for many. Getting through rehab and regularly attending support meetings is the backbone of maintaining sobriety. The sense of structure and routine around attending meetings will help anchor the new sober life you find yourself in. Taking good care of yourself physically and mentally, avoiding potential triggers and environments and setting short-term goals are all tools someone can use to help them through a sober life. -
How to help a family member with addiction?
We offer a friend and family referral service to help family members get their loved one the help they need. After treatment has finished and family members are in more constant contact with the recovering loved one it’s important to be there for them. It’s also important for family members to look after themselves – many find comfort in attending support meetings as well to connect with people going through the same thing. Openness and understanding all around are vital to moving forward and might make it easier to spot any warning signs down the line. -
